Our Story

A special day in history! August 16, 2009 was the inaugural Erica's Wish run. Specifically held on Erica's 13th Birthday to raise awareness of childhood cancer. This was the beginning of our 5 word, 5 year plan.

BELIEVE. COURAGE. DETERMINATION. STRENGTH. WISDOM. 

In 2009 the Erica's Wish run began. Erica was in the midst of treatment and the race was a means to bring awareness of childhood cancer. With the funds raised from the event, the Erica's Wish Blanket Program began in 2010 at SickKids Hospital as a way to comfort children diagnosed with cancer. Upon admission to Oncology, children receive the Erica's Wish blanket. The blankets supplied are a source of comfort for children to hang onto during their tests, trials and treatments. A token of hope.
